- Walking the Thresholds 6 is about upon us, and we are about to reach the final pre-registration cut-off.

- People may note that the gate fee has risen significantly. This has been done to hopefully encourage people to register at least a week ahead of time...as I have to order things such as porta-pots...and there is nothing quite so annoying as not having enough of those...(chuckle)
- In the past, I was able to get away with not having my numbers so early...but the gather has gotten large enough that this is no longer really feasable for me. We have always had a lot of people simply show up and pay at the gate at the last minute, and request some financial hardship understanding in their gate fee. And I have been able to eat the cost.
- This year I am unable to do so. If I do not hear from people before the 25th, I cannot put your name on the list of pre-paid folks that I submit to the site...which is being very kind and handling gate registration for me this year.
- Please contact me if you want to discuss your situation. This year I cannot promise that I can be as nice as I have been in the past.
- A bit of an addendum...if people register or contact me PRIOR to the cut-off date, as long as I get the funds BEFORE I show up to the site...they can get the pre-reg rate. I need those funds before I show up on site. Contact me if funding timing is an issue..(ie. You get paid this coming Friday, for example...) I can make a bit of an allowance for that. I can wait to cash a check a few days...I just need to have the ability to pay by the end of the gather, and there have been people in the past that have burned me a small bit. I have been able to get by before...but this year I simply do not have the cushion that I had in years previous.
- We are currently at the standard level of pre-reg...and last year I had over 70 people attend, many of whom were at-the-gate.
- I have based my porta-pot estimates on that pre-reg. I cannot change this after the 25th. Please be kind to us all, and pre-reg.
- There is no official meal plan this year. I have had a few people in the community offer to help out so that there can be something...some offers viable, some not. I will be contacting those people by Sunday to start the finalization process for that issue. My own inclination is to get back to the basics of hearth....a kitchen area near the hearth with people volunteering and feeding the people that put in for the hearth. No one at that hearth shall be turned away....offer what you can (honestly).
- For help in understanding my meal plan issues...I have to pay to use the kitchen and all it's accoutrements...and propane is a bit extra. At the moment, I am not able ot afford to do so...so, while I would love to offer it's use, I cannot do so this year. I will look into doing so next year.
