The Otherkin Awakening website is a community driven website and Forum, and so each registered member can write and submit news, views, essays, articles and web links – right here, right now, online.
Hello,
My name is Charles Preston and I am an independent filmmaker from Austin, Texas. I am in the process of creating a documentary film about the "otherkin" phenomenon.
In addition to filmmaking I have been interested in metaphysical and supernatural subjects from a very young age and the otherkin are absolutely fascinating to me.
My goal is to create a film that will objectively explore the otherkin society as a cultural group and from the perspective of some of the individuals who comprise that group.
I am writing you to see if you might be willing to contribute to this project in the way of either a short videotaped interview, contacts of other people who might be interested or if you have any other ancillary information that will assist in making this the best documentary on the subject that can be made.
Please reply with some brief background information about who you are, what your connection to the otherkin is and how you would like to contribute.
Unfortunately this film is being made on a shoestring budget so I can't offer any monetary compensation but I will include all contributors in the credits as well on the supporting website for the film once it has been completed. Contributors will also receive a complimentary dvd copy of the film and other miscellaneous promotional gear that will be created such as t-shirts, bumpers stickers, hats, etc.
