Ok -- I've been doing a lot of work on the wiki, and I'd *really* appreciate if people would each (or even better yet if each person in your head who's willing) contribute at least 1 paragraph to the wiki.
If everyone who reads this participates, it will go a long way towards at least having something on every page...I've tackled some of the harder topics, and will continue to do so, but if everyone would follow these directions, we'll eventually have something for every page, and that would be great. No experience required. It's easy to contribute basic text, trust me -- people have been shocked at how easy it is before.
- go to http://www.kinhost.org/wiki/Main/ManualTOC
- locate something in the list which is a word or set of words followed by a linked (probably superscripted) question mark (?)
- you can pick one that's easy for you, challenging for you, or even something you don't know much about in which case feel free to simply put in a question about the topic so that someone else can come along and clarify it.
- click on the question mark for the topic you wish to fill in.
- A web form will come up that says something like "Describe TheNewPageName here." in the window. Delete the silly generic comment, [if there's more elaborated on-topic text there, choose a good spot to add your own two cents] type a normal paragraph or question on the topic. If you want to put in more than one paragraph or question, hit return/enter twice and start writing again.
- Optional: put in a name in the blank for who wrote/edited the entry
- Optional: for hypertext links offsite just put the whole "URL" (i.e. http://groups.yahoo.com/ )
- don't worry about links on-site, just note that you want a link to another page and I'll fix it later
- click the "save" button -- don't worry if it's not formatted 100% correctly, I can come by later and fix it if need be.
I will get an email later that will tell me what pages were edited on the site, and I'll go check them out and make corrections, clarifications, or maybe answer the questions if someone else doesn't beat me to it. At the very least, I'll make sure that you weren't just hacking the site and putting up spam ads and such. ;)
I'd really appreciate this! :)
Crisses
