All 3? April Fool!

Ice 4/1/93

Standing in a tower,
Built of hope,
I can only see the light...
Sometimes a brick crumbles,
I fall or stumble...
I see shadows approaching.
There are times I chase them,
Deeper and deeper into the woods,
Until I fall into a pit of despair.
Thoughts of three true-lovers,
Living, Laughing, Loving,
Dealing desire and devotion...
The very heights that gives me.
But the thought of a deliberate lie,
Or unintentional false hope...
The brave manipulator returning.
Buying our precious time well spent,
In callings, lovings, lustings,
Paid for by manipulations,
That might kill me, my love,
My love for you, and my lover.
Pain dealt to more than I,
Pain you deal to everyone.
Suspected this auspicious day!
April fools, we!

All you hold dear is here...
There is no reason for your fear,
You felt we were lost,
And hated that cost,
But we're actually rather near.

My kisses comingled with joy,
An explanation of our secretive ploy,
It is a part of a ruse
To get you to choose,
We weren't meaning to be so damned coy!
 
I've been wanting to sit here and chat,
Have a one-on-one, to talk, and all that...
But you've been so so sad,
And made us quite mad,
To see a woman who acts like a brat.
 
And now we can't help but smile,
Though our humor could always be vile,
We are still hanging around,
So don't you get down,
We might not see you for a while.

April 28th

Ice 9/5/86 re: P.

Blood stains before me,
Covering the gaps and ridges,
Crust of magma on the lashes.
Rolling slightly, the blinds flutter,
A gasp or groan and the wind blows.
Still, the blood slowly browns,
A tear in the perfect fabric,
The stuffing is leaking,
Life is gone.
Parted, the opening that I had touched,
Numbness, seeping downward between spirit and flesh,
The last candle goes out.
But, still, there is body,
Although, now, an empty husk...
Rain falls in torrents,
Thunder, lightening and leaves fall down.
Earthquakes, and you are buried.

Aliessa 12/23/02

Arisen through the mists, a half a lifetime away,
Though the dawn light shreds the dark,
I cannot see you.
The vague silhouette paints the gloom,
Housed within an eerie glowing --
A familiar voice calls out my name.

I rise again from the ashes of myself, having taken up 
                    the carbon-dated remains of so long ago,
In this moment given life to someone I thought long dead.
Myself,
Neither resurrected nor reborn, in the waxing glow.

Is the light from the moon or the sun, I wonder,
But the light will not tell me as it grows,
Nor does it matter, just matters that I am lit,
That match to the tail of the phoenix reincarnation of 
                    that former self I was but a moment ago.

Arrival from latency
I take to the front.
Long it has been
Strong am I.
No longer trapped by circumstance
I take freely of the cup.
Brought back with me my brethren.
Thus 14 we've made in this our head.
Perhaps more should we chance to look.
My head hums with powers rising
Strange yet familiar yet new.

Awakening

Star 4/19/93 to D. and L.

A liberation from the body,
Felt-heart touched twice...
Steam of desire,
For man and child touches me.
He is my only son, and he my only man.
Tender touch my side, you,
Feel you my soul? it mothers you.
Tender kiss my lips, you,
Comfort in familiarity, soul's caressing.
Tangled, trinity of Eternity,
Mother, Father, Child....
Caresses and caring,
I kiss my son on his awaiting lips,
Briefly one with my own daughter's sleepy spirit.
Who am I, I am asked,
Eve, All-Mother, Night.
I lead my mate down the path to the caverns,
Seething with my son's bright soulflame.
I cradle my child in the dark of the shadows of the leaves,
Carried to a circled grove, and lay him there,
My son under his father's protective leaves.
And I lay with him there to stare at the night sky,
Comforted by the All-Father, forest's eyes.
Briefly combat with my devotion,
My awe at the unconditional love of a child,
At the soul-deep connected love of a man.
Stroke the hair, hand on breast,
Kiss the lips, head on chest....
